As a model for the columns of the Rome series, stylistic elements of the classical column order were taken into account. The relatively simple form of the base and the column head with cover and profiled crown is a characteristic element of Doric column order. The straight shaft with wooden grooves (fluting) rather Corinthian or Roman order.
